Food

Name Potential reaction(s) Remarks
Aspartame Allergy “Hangover Like” symptoms including headache, nausea and dizziness. Studies have shown that aspartame is broken down by the body into phenylalanine, aspartate and methanol The reaction to aspartame may be based on the existence of an undiagnosed condition of phenylketonuria, or a high sensitivity to methanol. There is also speculation that long term consumption of Neutra-Sweet may affect the process of neurogenesis by disruption of the L-Aspartate and D-Aspartate balance within the brain’s metabolism, although this has not yet been confirmed by human clinical trials.
